Purpose of the Role
You will be a senior member of the sales team, and you will have responsibility for hitting revenue and volume targets for your products across all markets. You will provide strategic support to the Sales & Marketing Director and develop sales strategies for existing and new products in the feed sector. You will have account management and new business responsibilities, as well as internal line management & budget responsibilities. You will work closely with the Marketing team to develop sales, technical and promotional materials. You will be responsible for ensuring the systems & structures are in place to optimise team performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Hitting revenue targets of insect meal protein sales within global animal feed mills and pet food applications.

Building sales pipelines and deals across the region, tracking for successful negotiations and closing.

Developing sales strategies and developing supporting materials to execute activity plans.

Key Account Management responsibilities with major clients, utilizing CRM tools (i.e. ZOHO)
KEY ACTIVITIES
Sales
-
Meeting company sales targets, both in securing volume and maximising revenue through material allocation and pricing strategies.

Drafting, implementing & supervising annual, quarterly and monthly activity plans to meet team OKRs

Developing leads and closing international sales, attending conferences & expos.

Closing, managing and developing Key Accounts across all feed products.

Supporting the Marketing team to develop materials suitable for new sales channels and customer support strategies.

Analysing sales team data and taking responsibility for adapting strategies.

Analysing data to make strategic decisions, such as engaging collaboration or partnership or making adjustments to the sales pitches and materials.

Internal & management
-
Planning, executing & monitoring the sales activities and ensures targets are met.

Reporting & forecasting clearly & honestly to the Sales & Marketing Director and Leadership team.

Hiring, developing and supervising junior members of the commercial team.

Any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned to you by the management from time to time either within or out of your category of employment must perform accordingly.
Requirements & Person Specifications
-
In-depth understanding of the global animal feed sector, key clients, and their position in the industry. Preferable with some experience of feed ingredient sales.

Bachelor's degree in aquaculture, agriculture, life sciences or relevant field, Master's degree preferred.

At least 6 years’ experience in sales or account management, and ideally at least 2 years’ experience of managing key accounts.

Familiarity with CRM tools (eg SalesForce or Zoho CRM), forecasting & reporting.

Able to analyze data and sales statistics and translate results into better solutions.

Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English to non-native english speakers, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary.

Strong computer literacy, including word processing, spreadsheets and presentations.

You must be driven by a challenge and have the agility and flexibility to adapt to a very fast growing company.

You must be comfortable working in a multinational environment.

You must be self-motivated and responsible enough to work independently on large projects.

Strong attention to detail, with a high level of self-management.

Reporting Lines & Supervision
You will report to the Sales & Marketing Director, and will work closely with the Marketing Manager, and the leadership team where required. You will directly manage the Sales Manager and Sales Assistant(s), as well as any team interns. You will also work closely with the Regulatory & Product Coordinator and the QHSE team.
